I’ve known and admired my friend Joel Rubin for almost a decade.
There is no candidate for Delegate in Maryland who will fight harder than Joel for our democracy and our progressive ideals at this moment of crisis in American history.
That’s why I’ve endorsed Joel and I’m asking you to support his run for Delegate in Maryland’s 18th Legislative District.
You supported me last year. Thank you! Will you join me in helping Joel by donating $5 directly to his campaign today?
Joel is the kind of next-generation leader we urgently need in office. He’ll fight for a more open, just, decent America where human rights and human dignity are respected and protected. And he’ll stand up to the entrenched power of the right-wing machine with its corrupt Super PACs and mega-donors.
Joel is ready to serve. He brings 20 years of experience in public service and results-driven activism.
I first met Joel when he was a founding director at J Street, fighting for Middle East peace and diplomacy. I saw quickly that Joel has guts, passion, and knows how to get things done. Joel ultimately rose to a senior appointed position in the Obama Administration’s State Department.
But there’s more to Joel than his stellar resumé. He’s a family man – the father of three young girls. He’s an elected local official in the Town of Chevy Chase, where he works for his constituents on issues ranging from environmental protection to combating hate speech. And he’s passionate about service, having begun his career as an Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica.
Our movement needs Joel in the Maryland State House, where he will prioritize environmental sustainability, educational opportunity, and security for all Marylanders, regardless of age, gender identity or immigration status. Just as my campaign did in Georgia, Joel is emphasizing grassroots organizing and would welcome your help knocking on doors and planning events in Bethesda, Kensington, Wheaton, Garrett Park, Silver Spring and Chevy Chase.
Joel needs our help now. The primary election is June 26th! So Joel, will you donate now to power his campaign? Every dollar counts:
Thanks so much for your help,
